It may be difficult for me to be lured away from after-chapel conversations, late night chats, and just talking in general, but I'm definitely an introvert because I get recharged by being alone. Today was just one of those days where I wanted to do something by myself; so, after making an egg over easy for breakfast, I drove over to Swarthmore and first picked up some books that Josh had ordered from the library. [side note: these days, we don't know why--but Josh is playing computer games and checking basketball stats instead of being in his usual 24/7 intense scholar mode! I bet my dad is the only dad in the world who excitedly encourages his son to keep on playing video games, hahah.] Then I ran around the retro indoor track for a bit while listening to Florence and the Machine.
Last night I scribbled down the address of a local coffee shop because I thought that maybe a cozy little scene would help me tackle some winter reading. So this evening, my dad and I checked out Hobbs. On a scale of one to ten--it was probably a 6.5, but only because the chai tea was nice and spicy. The place wasn't exactly cozy-cozy, but who am I kidding--in high school, I'd sometimes even go to Mickey D's to read, so I really shouldn't pretend like I have fancy cafe standards.
Tonight I ate a churro and "helped" my mom check off her grocery list at Genuardi's (kinda like Safeway) by finding the waffle mix. Then I went to the cheese section and poked my finger into all the squishy cheeses and briefly considered making baked brie for Christmas Eve. My mom bought a bunch of jalapeno peppers, though, so I might just make crispy poppers instead.

this entry was so full of awesomeness.
