Saturday lunching adventure

I still can't believe this body of water exists in the state of Chihuahua

My dad decided to take us to a fish restaurant he'd recently lunched at with a pastor friend of his. We (Mom, Dad, Justin, and I --Josh is at camp) drove to the outskirts of Delicias, a small city that's about an hour's drive from Chihuahua. I really like Delicias; the name slides off your tongue in a sing-song way, and the area has a local, country feel. For around 350 pesos, we enjoyed a very hearty Mexican feast, washed down with iced glasses of freshly squeezed limeade. Today's little day trip reminded me of the excursions we used to take when my family first arrived in Mexico almost ten years ago to acquaint ourselves with the new surroundings. We'd listen to Adventures in Odyssey tapes on the road, tensely mark out our respective back seat territories, and have to make so many bathroom stops. Mexico has changed so much, but the perfection of today almost let me believe otherwise.

The restaurant was located on a small hacienda with a big shady area filled with multiple playground sets, yellow swings, and trampolines.

I loved the quaint and homey decor.

Justin never comes to a restaurant book-less.

I remember the days when we used to have identical haircuts. I think it was last year, actually.
